Breast Surgery Options
- Breast augmentation uses either saline and silicone implants to provide volume and fullness to the breasts.
- Breast lift, or mastopexy, lifts and reshapes the breasts for women who have appreciable sagging or drooping.
- Breast lift with implants combines the goals of augmentation and mastopexy.
- Breast reduction removes the bulk and weight of overly large breasts to help relieve women who suffer from chronic back and shoulder pain while helping to create a more appealing shape and appearance.
- Breast reconstruction, both immediately at the time of mastectomy or in a “delayed” fashion after completing treatment for breast cancer, can be both a restorative and transformative experience for women who want to reclaim what has been lost to illness.
- Breast revision, also known as corrective surgery, can include exchanging current breast implants for different ones and/or improving unsatisfactory results from a previous breast surgery.
- Breast implant removal is sometimes referred to as explantation and involves the removal of implants for cosmetic and/or medical purposes.
