This 25 year-old patient came to our Frisco office complaining of symptomatic hypermastia (breast pain). She had suffered from shoulder, neck and back pain for several years with shoulder grooving from bra straps as well as intertrigo (rashes). Her history included unsuccessful relief of her symptoms with a variety of modalities, including physical therapy, supportive garments, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatories.

During her consultation, we discussed our recommendation that she undergo breast reduction surgery. This was performed and a total of over 1500 and 1200 grams were removed from the right and left breast, respectively (or 3.3 and 2.6 pounds).
